John Latour
John Latour (MA 2005) is the 2025 recipient of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) Distinguished Service Award.
He is a Teaching and Research Librarian in Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montréal since 2018. Latour has also played key roles in major cultural and information institutions, including the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Artexte and the Special Collections of the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec. Alongside this work, he has maintained an active artistic practice, which allows him to bridge research, teaching, and creative production.
In his current role, Latour provides general reference as well as subject reference for Art Education, Art History, Creative Arts Therapies, Design and Computation Arts, and Studio Arts.
