Join us for an Autism Awareness Month event featuring a film screening of Śubuk; a Polish film (with English subtitles) that explores the realities of autism, focusing on the lived realities of navigating educational, healthcare, and social systems. The film will be followed by a panel discussion that seeks to open dialogue on the systemic barriers experienced by autistic individuals and their families.
The panel discussion will foster a meaningful dialogue on the systemic barriers faced by autistic individuals and their families; challenges that persist across national contexts. Using the film as a starting point, the conversation will extend beyond the screen to examine how personal experiences intersect with broader social, institutional, and policy frameworks.
The event is a collaborative initiative between Concordia University and the Consulates General of Mexico and Poland in Montreal.
