A teacher at the center of a classroom and students engaged in activities and conversations

This training is offered by GradProSkills. It is only open to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

Advance registration is required.

Are you starting your first Teaching Assistant contract? Join us for this 2-hour teaching-focused orientation facilitated by the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

The session will offer insights into building a positive experience for yourself, the instructor and your students, as well as introduce you to resources available to help you thrive in your role including CREW, the union for Concordia TAs/RAs.

Break-out rooms allow you to choose two aspects of the TA teaching experience for more focused exploration. Topics to choose from include: preparing to teach, grading & feedback, and building an inclusive classroom environment.

This session is open to TAs from all faculties and roles (tutorial/lab/studio leader, marker/grader). If you are a returning TA or want to focus deeper on one topic, we suggest the longer teaching workshops offered later in the semester.
