Want to learn more about becoming a Concordia Public Scholar? Join this information session to learn more about the program eligibility criteria and the qualifying training.

Being a Public Scholar requires engaging with the community-at-large to share your research or research-creation work and how it impacts our society, and the skills your PhD program has helped you develop. Concordia University, through its graduate professional development initiatives, provides a 5-week training program to help you create the foundations of research communication as well as prepare a stronger application to the Public Scholars program.

The qualifying training program called Strategic Public Communications Training will start on January 22 (online). Registration will open December 10 and deadline to register for the training program is January 20, 2026.
