In celebration of Black History Month, join us for Telling our Stories: Joy, Rest, and Resistance in the Black Community, an interactive “joyshop” that will explore how the politics, identities, and lived realities of rest, joy, and resistance change as individuals move through the different stages of their lives. Renate Betts, CBC Black Change-Maker and community leader, will moderate the conversation. Facilitated discussions will provide opportunities for participants to share their stories, ideas, and experiences. Special Afro-Caribbean Folk dance performance by Amanda Benn. Free, light snacks will be provided.

To register for the event email: engage@concordia. Please indicate whether you would like to attend in-person or online.

This series brings together Black community members from Montreal, and beyond, to share diverse perspectives on community, identity, and belonging.
