What can the Earth teach us about... Diversity? Rest? Endings?
Urban gardens are little oasis downtown that have the potential to connect us to the Earth. They have much to share and teach, even about our own human experience. We need only observe and learn to listen. Each session will explore a different topic: what can gardens teach us about diversity, rest and endings?
Through discussions and hands-on gardening, the participants will get to discover the garden, how they operate, and be fed holistically, in body, mind and spirit!
This workshop is being co-hosted by the Multi-Faith and Spirituality Centre and Innovation Youth
Opening hearts and minds to diverse expressions of the human spirit. Fostering connection and meaningful engagement.
The dedicated team at the Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre exists to guide and support the entire Concordia community in matters of faith and spirituality.
Connect with a student faith group, get one-on-one guidance with a chaplain or interfaith facilitator at Concordia and get involved with your community.
Innovation Youth seeks to offer a community space for youth and families living in or frequently visiting downtown, opening up the possibilities of integration into academic, professional, and social life. They seek to create space for youth and families to flourish. The urban gardens have the goal of making the neighborhood welcoming for all, and provide internships for youth to greenify downtown.
