Night scene of a house under attack from missiles Ukraine: No Filter

Book talk with Dr. Adrian Ivakhiv on Terra Invicta: Ukrainian Wartime Reimaginings for a Habitable Earth (2025).
Drawing on scholarly and artistic responses to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, this talk explores land, ecology, war, and artistic responsibility.

Terra Invicta grapples with the role of artistic expression in the face of war and collective loss and what it means to commit to a place, a land, a territory, in a world set in constant motion.

Presented in collaboration with Club Ukrainien de Montréal as part of the Ukraine: No Filter exhibition programming at Concordia University.

This exhibit brings together selected works from four projects - Books Destroyed by Russia, Unissued Diplomas, 4th Block: Chornobyl, and As For Now, It Is Quiet / Listen Live - to confront the cultural, environmental, and human cost of Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.
