Formatted as a three-way interview, artists John DiStefano, Cathy Lee Crane, and Concordia-alumnus Frédéric Moffet discuss and interrogate one another on the appropriations central to their creative processes in making their films & installations that themselves interrogate Pasolini.
Queering Pasolini points to the manner in which these artists are not working in the realm of illustration but rather, in a mode that skews and/or expands Pasolini's texts, understood as both image and word. That is, their work is a non-linear, figurative engagement with images from Pasolini's films treated themselves as catalytic gestures for new ideas, and in some cases, a re-framing of Pasolini's own.
How can you participate? Attend in person (note, we can accommodate up to 30 audience members comfortably in the space) or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube.
