Student groups have identified the need to further develop capacity for equitable recruitment and hiring practices without falling victim to tokenization or entrenching systemic marginalization.
This event will bring together existing expertise and experience in equitable recruitment and anti-oppressive organizing from student leadership and University Staff & faculty.
Ayan Yusuf Karshe, Abdulla Daoud, and Sandra Mouafo, leaders from on-campus organizations and University departments, will share their experiences in equitable recruitment practices to foster a group conversation moderated by Chesline Pierre-Paul. Participants will be invited to mingle and share light refreshments afterwards.
How can you participate? Attend in person (note, we can accommodate up to 30 audience members comfortably in the space) or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube.
