Faculty have a unique and complex relationship with the student body, especially when it comes to sexual violence awareness, prevention, and support. Some situations that may arise: Students may disclose cases of sexual violence to their instructor, have strong reactions to content related to sexuality or sexual violence presented in class, may try to explore romantic or sexual relationships with their instructor, or bring up harmful myths and attitudes about sexual violence during class discussion. Participants in this workshop will get to navigate these complex circumstances using discussion and scenarios.
This workshop is open to all staff and faculty and fulfills the mandatory training requirements for sexual violence awareness and prevention. The deadline to complete training is October 27th, 2025.
More information about the mandatory training can be found here.
