In partnership with NSERC, the NOVA program supports research projects led by emerging researchers from Quebec in collaboration with researchers from other Canadian provinces and territories. These projects must fall within the fields of natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering (NSE).

The NOVA program has the following specific objectives:

  • Increase and stimulate the capacity for research collaborations between emerging Quebec researchers and other researchers from other Canadian provinces and territories;
  • Strengthen the international competitiveness of researchers from Quebec and other Canadian provinces and territories;
  • To generate new knowledge or applications of knowledge likely to generate social, environmental, technological, economic benefits or to have an impact on the public policy of Quebec and/or all of Canada, on issues important to the community;

Create a plan for mobilizing knowledge and results both in Quebec and for all of Canada.
