Join us for the official Roots & Recipes Cookbook Launch- a celebration of food, culture, and sustainability! This is your chance to see your recipes, along with those of your peers, featured in a physical copy of the cookbook we’ve all worked so hard to create together.

If you’re new to this project, over the past few months, we’ve been gathering recipes from Concordia students, community members, and campus co-ops to create a centralized, sustainable, and diverse recipe resource. Our goal is to inspire self-sufficiency, encourage knowledge-sharing, and promote health and well-being.

Food and drink are deeply woven into culture and society- they shape our traditions, bring people together, and are part of our daily lives. Through this project, we hope to celebrate these connections while fostering a more sustainable and community-driven food culture!

As your Student Sustainability Ambassadors, we’ll share why we developed a central website and cookbook, exploring how it can strengthen our community and promote sustainable food practices. We’ll also dive into meaningful discussions on what sustainability means to us and the cultural significance of food.

Expect an evening of community building, engaging discussions, games, exciting prizes, and of course, light snacks!

Come celebrate with us and be part of the conversation on food, culture, and sustainability. We can’t wait to see you there!
