Jurist-in-Residence in Conversation with Paul John Murdoch

Concordia’s Jurist-in-Residence Morton S. Minc in conversation with Paul John Murdoch, Partner, Murdoch Archambault Avocats, inc on the challenges of fostering mutual respect and understanding between Canada’s Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the search for reconciliation.

In this conference, Judge Minc and Paul John Murdoch will review legal precedents such as the Doctrine of Discovery, the Royal Proclamation of 1763 and the Indian Act and highlight their present-day consequences in Canada. Murdoch will discuss the importance of empathy as the key to making positive strides toward reconciliation.
