Part of the C-Change event series, this workshop is part of an ongoing initiative by Concordia’s Arts in Health Centre to explore new collaborative and creative ways of staying connected and engaged in a time of climate crisis.
Led by artist and systems thinker Asma Khan, the workshop will invite both artists and non-artists into a shared creative reflection on lineage, time, and the many stages of becoming and being that shape our relationships to eldership. Buzurgi is an Urdu word meaning “eldership.” Together, we will creatively explore the threads that connect generations, the ways we learn, grow, and are protected by buzurgi, and how we in turn contribute to it. Romancing lineages through root systems, we will draw a map connecting our elders to the future of time.
Paper: minimum A4 (letter) sized. Colour pencils, and regular pencil, watercolours and other drawing implements can be added as well
**No skills needed.
