From targeted cancer therapies to future energy technologies, nanomaterials are helping drive innovation across a wide range of fields.

Join Jackie Ying, recipient of a Doctor of Science (DSc), 2026 honorary doctorate from Concordia University, for "Design and Synthesis of Nanomaterials for Biomedical and Energy Applications." In this lecture, she will explore how researchers design nanomaterials and how these materials are being applied to challenges in health care and energy.

Meet Jackie Ying

Jackie Y. Ying has built a career at the intersection of bioengineering and nanotechnology, holding distinguished positions at some of the world’s leading research institutions. She served as professor of chemical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as executive director of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at A*STAR in Singapore.
