Autumn vibes are here, and what better way to celebrate than with a Japanese twist? Join us for a cozy Chat & Cook — Tsukimi Edition, where we’ll dive into the magic of the moon‑gazing festival.
In collaboration with immersionjaponais, the Concordia Japanese Language and Culture Community (JLCC) will host a Japanese immersion session on September 20 from 1:00–2:30 p.m. at the Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance (CSLP).
This session is open to learners of all levels, especially beginners and intermediate learners (advanced learners are also very welcome!).
Led by energetic and enthusiastic first-language Japanese speakers from immersionjaponais, participants will learn about the traditions of autumn in Japan, pick up some fresh seasonal words and make tsukimi dango (moon‑gazing mochi).
The participation fee is $10 for Concordia students and $20 for non-Concordia participants. All proceeds will go to the immersionjaponais facilitators to support their preparation and the sustainability of future sessions.
Spots are limited to 15 participants (first come, first served). Your spot will be confirmed once payment is received.
