Are you curious about our BA History Honours program? Getting ready to explore our three Honours programs, but not sure where to start? We are here to help.

All undergraduate students—especially BA History students (Specialization, Major, and Minor)—are welcome to this information session. Come learn more about the exceptional courses of study offered through our Honours History program! Each of the three streams provides a unique opportunity to interact with one another, graduate students, and full-time History faculty in small 400-level seminars.

  • The Seminar Option exposes undergraduate students to cutting-edge scholarship in the wide range of historical subfields that our award-winning faculty are actively researching.
  • The Essay Option allows students to work one-on-one with a faculty supervisor to develop an original research project.
  • The Public History Option is a course of study that focuses on public-facing scholarship, oral history, and digital storytelling (with access to our state-of-the-art facilities), as well as an internship in a museum, archive, and more!

Senior BA Honours History students will join the conversation to reflect on their experiences. The conversation will be facilitated by Dr. Anya Zilberstein (Honours Advisor) and Dr. Barbara Lorenzkowski (Public History Program Director).
