If you are curious about our LAWS 4800 Cour du Québec Internship, join us for our upcoming information session!
For the 2026-2027 academic year, Concordia is offering a for-credit, unpaid internship at the Cour du Québec in Montreal (LAWS 4800, 3 credits, course runs over both fall and winter terms).
Students are paired with one or more judges of the Cour du Québec, in the criminal, civil, or youth divisions. Students will attend court, meet with the judges and other court personnel, and be responsible for periodic written or oral reports to the supervising faculty member at Concordia.
As outlined in the Concordia Undergraduate Calendar, to be eligible for LAWS 4800, students must have completed “Introduction to Law and Society” (HIST or ANTH or POLI or SOCI 285), must have completed 15 credits of courses in the Law and Society minor, and have completed 60 university credits overall.
Note: the Cour du Québec is a predominantly French-language environment. French skills at the intermediate or higher level (primarily speaking and comprehension) are required.
Join us to learn about the application process and hear from current students about their experience.
