Concordia's Writers Read series presents author Sheila Heti in conversation with Sina Queryas, senior lecturer in the Department of English and Writers Read director. 

The event includes a reading from Sheila Heti and a conversation.

About the speaker

Sheila Heti is the author of eight books, including the novels Motherhood, How Should a Person Be? and Ticknor, and the story collection, The Middle Stories.

She is also the author of a children’s book titled We Need a Horse with art by Clare Rojas and an upcoming children’s book, Garden of Creatures (Spring ‘22), with art by Esme Shapiro.

Her new novel Pure Colour will be published in January 2022. She is currently developing a new play called The Dug Out.

Heti is the former interviews editor at The Believer magazine, and has been published in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, The Paris Review, n+1, The London Review of Books and elsewhere. Her work has been translated into twenty two languages.
