Melanie Porco

Melanie Porco is a proud Concordia University alumna, having earned her BA in Journalism with distinction in 2005. She serves as Supervising Producer at CityNews Montreal (Citytv), where she drives editorial vision and leads a talented team of video journalists, reporters, camera operators and editors.

She coordinates daily Montreal news programming and digital content for Montreal, Winnipeg, and Edmonton, working seamlessly with colleagues across Canada and with teams at OMNI News and Sportsnet. Melanie ensures every story is delivered with clarity, urgency, and impact.

 Since joining CityNews in 2017, she’s been at the heart of the station’s evolution—championing community-focused journalism and setting the pace for timely, authentic reporting. With over 20 years of experience—including roles at Breakfast Television Montreal and CTV News Montreal where she got her start—Melanie is driven by a passion for storytelling that matters.
