What value do you place on common spaces? What do you like about them? Why are they important to you?

Future Concordia is inviting students, faculty and staff to participate in a workshop to examine how the university can make better use of current campus spaces. The session will seek to understand what participants envision when they think about an ideal common area, as well as what features they would want if they could renovate a shared space at Concordia.

Samples of questions that the moderators may pose during the workshop include:

  • What are some examples of common spaces at Concordia?
  • What needs are common spaces trying to fulfill?
  • What are some must-have features for an ideal common space?

Space is limited to 25 participants. Student participants will receive a gift card for taking part in the workshop.

About Future Concordia

At this pivotal time in our history, we have been thrust into remote learning and, for the most part, the remote delivery of services. After a year of continuous adaptation, we are in an opportune position to reflect on learnings from this extraordinary experience and to use this knowledge to shape our collective future.

Our goal is to develop a vision for the Concordia of the future — how can we imagine new approaches to working, to teaching and learning, to our spaces, our services to students and our connections to local and global communities.
