Stephanie Hart

Stephanie studied at Ryerson University earning a bachelor’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning. She has spent the last 12 years working for the ALDO Group, a Montreal based retail company that has a huge international presence in the fashion footwear and accessories industry. Starting as a financial real estate analyst assessing growth opportunities for stores in new markets, she currently oversees the company’s entire Canadian real estate portfolio from coast to coast (which includes 300+ stores).

Appointed as Director in 2013, she also oversees all corporate store coordination projects, real estate strategy and department governance. More recently she has been mandated to restructure the store portfolio for both Manhattan, Chicago and Puerto Rico, and oversee the integration of a new real estate workflow platform. Now as a Senior Director, her role has evolved to take on even more responsibility in the way of management and strategy.

Stephanie has also been implicated in the creation and opening of a Microbrewery & Restaurant called ‘Brasserie Harricana’. She was involved in developing the business strategy, raising funds and finding real estate. Although not a day-to-day operator, her current role is to provide support and input, and to contribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of the business to encourage growth.

Getting an MBA was always a part of the plan, it was just a question of where and when for Stephanie. Wanting to build on her experience, and wanting to bring value into the classroom made the EMBA a perfect fit. The program is a great balance between exploring the fundamentals, and also seeking a more high level perspective. So far, the journey for Stephanie at JMSB has also included the building of incredible bonds with her peers. The types of relationships that can last a lifetime.

Sports have played an important role in Stephanie’s life. She played varsity basketball and participated at the Maccabi games in Israel. She is also an avid runner, tennis player, and enjoys pretty much all sports.
