Overview

From the gathering of Art Souterrain, Jack Marketing, and  CJE (Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Montréal, Centre Ville), was born ARTCH. Conscious of the artist statue, and motivated by a shared desire, the three organisations wanted to promote Montreal emerging artists. Created in 2018, ARTCH has had for main mission to establish a solid emerging contemporary art market in the heart of Montreal, by organizing a meeting between amateurs, visual arts professionals and a larger public. This way, public space becomes an actual broadcast platform  for upcoming artists in visual arts. This year, ARTCH will take place between the 9th and 13th of September at the Dorchester Square. This project’s aim is also to entice potential novice collectors and initiate the larger public to contemporary art. Essentially, the goal is to sustain the artistic activity in Montreal.
