Turning Your Passion into a Profession: Structuring Your Artistic Practice
Are you considering making a living from your art? Beyond creation, this means understanding your rights, structuring your practice, ensuring fair compensation, and mastering the contractual basics of your work. This training will equip you to better understand collective representation, artist remuneration, and professional contracts—how to set your rates, protect the dissemination and sale of your works, and secure your contractual agreements.

Part 1 – RAAV Services and Tools | Nathalie Dussault
The Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec (RAAV) supports artists in their professional journey. This presentation will introduce its role, activities, and available services—from legal and psychosocial support to professional development, including the Serge-Lemoyne Fund. You'll also discover practical resources: contracts, licenses, guides, and more.

Part 2 – RAAV-CARFAC Fee Schedule and Sales Contracts | Lana Greben
Using real-life cases and frequently asked questions, this section will address the practical aspects of artwork dissemination: exhibitions, talks, workshops, etc. You'll explore the legal and contractual foundations related to these activities, helping you better understand rights, negotiation, and fair remuneration in the visual arts field.

This workshop is intended as an open and welcoming space for dialogue, encouraging the sharing of experiences in a spirit of solidarity, creativity, and care.
