Hélène is the mentor for you, if you are interested in: minimal and refined forms of art and design, the unity of form and substance, precision work and attention to detail.

Hélène Latulippe has a dual training in industrial design and visual arts. She graduated with an undergraduate diploma in furniture design from the Institut des arts appliqués in Montreal (1968). Following a rather long career in this field, she received BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University (2012).

As an industrial designer, she worked for furniture manufacturers as well as in interior design for office spaces. She developed the “Functional and Technical Program” which is currently taught at the CEGEP du Vieux-Montreal in their interior design’s curriculum. This method is based on the mandate and laws regulating organizations. It establishes spaces’ needs, the operational flow and the construction cost associated with development projects.

Primarily utilizing engraving techniques, Hélène Latulippe resides and works in Montreal. Her national and international career allows her to share her worldview, transcend printmaking conventions, and enrich cultural discourse. She has showcased her work in print media exhibitions across the United Kingdom, Norway, and the United States, while regularly participating in solo and group exhibitions in Canada.

She attended several artist residencies notably in Ireland, Norway, at the Banff Center for the Arts and Creativity and elsewhere locally and nationally. Her artwork is featured in both private and institutional collections, reflecting her esteemed reputation in the art community.

Notable accolades include the Grand for Professional Artists from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (a 7-week residency at Banff Center for the Arts and Creativity), a Fellowship from the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Ireland, and a grant from McGill University in Montreal to study Italian in Florence. She was also honored with the Télé-Québec Prize at the 13th edition of the Biennale internationale d'estampe contemporaine de Trois-Rivières. Hélène's ongoing dedication to excellence in her craft continues to be recognized and rewarded.
