Quebec election: All classes and instructional activities cancelled on October 3

October 3: Election Day in Quebec

Under the Quebec Election Act, students are given the day off to vote.

This means all instructional activities at Concordia, including day and evening classes, tutorials, labs and studio sessions are cancelled on Monday, October 3, 2022.

Concordia buildings and libraries will remain open.

Make-up date: Wednesday, October 12, 2022

Please note that all academic activities scheduled in classrooms will be automatically re-booked on Wednesday, October 12.

Professors to notify students

Professors are responsible for notifying their students that classes and other academic activities normally held on October 3 are to be rescheduled on October 12.

Concordia to close at 4 p.m. on October 3

Under the Quebec Election Act, faculty and staff are allowed to take four consecutive hours to vote. Concordia will close its administrative offices at 4 p.m. on October 3 to provide faculty and staff with the required time to vote.
