The brand-new Birks, up close and personal
After extensive renovations, the new Birks Student Service Centre reopened August 12 on the ground floor of the J.W. McConnell Building (LB-185) on Sir George Williams Campus.
The new centre aims to provide personalized and streamlined assistance in a more comfortable, inviting space.
Here’s a look inside:
The old counter is gone: the upgraded space houses eight permanent service desks, plus four additional ones for peak periods. Staff will offer you an integrated service that includes a review of your file to make sure there are no outstanding issues.
Birks now boasts a fresh, modern look, as well as a new ceiling and ceramic tile floors. Upholstered, bench-style seating has replaced plastic seats in the waiting area.
