Dr. Duclos wrote the catalogue text “Dimensions of Interplay” for artist Leah Garnett on the state of contemporary site-specificity and artist interventions. In her two site installation, Garnett drew upon childhood experiences in the woods of rural Maine and on assorted construction sites to produce When One Space Meets Another. Her installations mapped onto the gallery architecture this passage from youthful exploration, to proto-builder, to professional artist which Dr. Duclos hoped to elucidate for the viewer.
