MA student receive award for paper

MA student Mélinda Pierre-Paul Cardinal won the top graduate paper award at the Virginia Conference on Race, which was hosted by the Centre for Studying Structures of Race at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia (March 30-March 31st, 2023) for her essay "Emerging Art Histories of Racial Justice: An Intersectional Feminist Oral History Project."

Mélinda was part of the panel "Creative Works, Art, & Art History" which was moderated by Dr. Alex Ponomareff (Roanoke College) with her presentation "Embodied Burdens: a Black Feminist Oral History Project."
