New Marjorie Dalwood Hollett Prize of $4,000 for Mature Entry students in a Bachelor’s program in the Department of English

Through the generosity of Shane Hollett, the Marjorie Dalwood Hollett Prize was set up to honour his mother, an intrepid woman, whose own education was cut short by war and emigration to Canada, but who fostered the love of reading and the importance of education in her children.

The annual $4,000 prize is open to a full-time or part-time student who has been accepted through the Mature Entry Program (MEP), and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the Department of English.

Application details for 2025-2026 will be posted on the department website in February 2026
