Ever wondered what happens to a pumpkin after Halloween? Come and find out how to be wasteful with your Halloween decor this year.

The weekly Concordia Farmer’s Market will be collaborating with ABCompost to provide a festive and educational final market. You can expect a vermicomposting demonstration, alongside a vendor costume contest, a spooky activity, and more with the Farmer's Market (3pm - 6pm)!

Catherine Rokakis

Catherine Rokakis is a Master's student in the Geography, Planning, and Environment program at Concordia University, working under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Gould. In addition to this, she is the Compost Program Coordinator at the Concordia Greenhouse and co-leads ABCompost, a student-led composting initiative that collects food waste from Concordia food groups to produce compost for the campus community. They also run workshops to make composting more accessible and affordable for students. Her work for ABCompost focuses on food waste diversion through vermiculture and educating students on sustainable waste management practices as well as food waste reduction.
