Overview

Have you ever replayed a French conversation in your head, wishing you'd expressed yourself better? This program helps you improve your French so you can find the right words when you need them most: at work, socially and in your community. 

Our program is aligned with the Échelle québécoise, so it'll help you boost your French communication skills across five courses from elementary to high intermediate. Through immersive and collaborative exercises, you'll learn to communicate in French confidently in everyday life.

Program structure and levels

  • Collaborative, in-person classes
  • One 4-hour class per week for 10 weeks
  • Self-directed learning outside of class

Important note: To get the most out of the program and fully access all learning resources, participants are required to bring their own device to class.

Program levels

We've recently revamped the program to align with the Échelle québécoise standards. 

This course corresponds to level 3 in the Échelle québécoise. You'll be more at ease in simple everyday conversations, whether at work or with friends. You'll be able to ask and answer simple questions, provide clear instructions, and give compliments.

This course corresponds to level 4 in the Échelle québécoise. You'll be able to communicate in French for everyday tasks. You’ll learn to tell personal stories, convey your preferences, and follow multi-step instructions.

This course corresponds to level 5 in the Échelle québécoise. You'll approach social and professional conversations with greater confidence. You’ll gain the ability to talk about current events, share your experiences, and give advice.

This course corresponds to level 6 in the Échelle québécoise. Your social and professional conversations will become more specific and detailed. You’ll be able to talk about current events, while finding it easier to talk about your emotions and decisions.

This course corresponds to level 7 in the Échelle québécoise. You’ll gain more independence in your social and professional interactions. You’ll use a richer vocabulary when you articulate complex ideas.
