About the study
Are you feeling forgetful? We invite volunteers between 60 and 85 years old to take part in an at-home, online study on how exercise and cognitive training may delay the onset of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
The SYNERGIC-2 Trial (SYNchronizing, Exercises and Remedies to GaIn Cognition@home) is a home-based personalized multidomain randomized controlled trial from the Canadian Therapeutic Platform for Multidomain Interventions to Prevent Dementia (CAN-THUMBS UP).
Participant requirements
Participants must:
- Be between the ages of 60 and 85
- Have internet access (have regular access to email), technology ability (able to send and receive emails), and access to a home computer and/or laptop device
- Be able to read, write and speak in English
- Be able to walk 10 metres (about 32 feet) independently, without a walking aid
- Not have Alzheimer’s disease
