The Guide to Studying the Visual Arts in Canadaco-edited by Shannon Stride and Loren Lerner. Guest speakers were Gentiane Bélanger, Elizabeth A. Cavaliere, Mark A. Cheetham, Tammer El-Sheikh, Cynthia Imogen Hammond, Cathy Mattes, Gwendolyn Owens, Erin Silver and Carla Taunton. The Guide to Studying the Visual Arts in Canada was launched on March 29, 2023, with an online panel of educators and curators, entitled “Growing Canadian Art Histories.” You can watch or download "Growing Canadian Art Histories" here.

The Guide to Studying the Visual Arts in Canada is published by the Gail and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Institute for Studies in Canadian Art. With Internet links to hundreds of resources, and drawing upon the contributions of teachers, curators, librarians and archivists from across Canada, the guide provides valuable information for the study of Canadian art history, art education, curatorial studies, and material culture.
