Campus Wellness and Support Services is offering focused sessions for student facing staff on supporting students in distress. Using this web-page as a framework, these sessions will help participants to:

  • Understand the different mental health and well-being resources on campus
  • Use concrete student examples from the group to support student referrals to resources
  • Differentiate between imminent crisis and distress, and appropriate response
  • Supporting a student in distress to connect with the appropriate resource
