Library sources in mathematics & statistics

This guide lists a selection of the more important sources of information on Mathematics & Statistics available at Concordia Library. It includes material held in the Webster Library (WEB) on the Sir George Williams Downtown Campus, the Vanier Library (VAN) on the Loyola Campus and/or available online. Most materials are located in the Reference area (REF). This is not a complete list. Additional resources may be found by searching the Sofia Discovery tool (library catalogue).

MathSciNet

  • Covers the full range of mathematical literature with citations to articles in mathematics, statistics, computer science and operations research
  • Includes the indexing from Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications
  • Coverage from 1940 onward

Academic Search Complete (EBSCO)

  • A multidisciplinary database that indexes over 300 journals and magazines in mathematics. Includes the full-text of some journals. Coverage from 1975 onward.

Web of Science

  • A multidisciplinary database that indexes leading mathematical and statistical journals. It is also a citation database that shows how often articles are cited. Coverage from 1989 onward.

ACM Digital Library

  • The database of the publications of the Association for Computing Machinery. The mathematics of computing is a major subject area in this database.

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses

  • This database indexes doctoral dissertations and masters theses, mostly from North American universities. Coverage goes back to 1861. Full text available for many titles from 1997 - 2010.
