The Centre aims to be an innovation platform for novel and established technologies with a particular focus on Industry 4.0.

A main research axis is to develop economical and efficient processes for manufacturing highly-customized products (i.e., Batch Size 1).

The center brings together expertise from

  • manufacturing
  • material science
  • industrial engineering
  • metrology

Its members want to play a key role in training highly-qualified personnel with expertise in a broad range of disciplines including:

  • Mechanical and industrial engineering
  • micro/nano-technology
  • mechatronics
  • instrumentation
