Training

Empowering the next generation of researchers

Today’s researchers are expected to do more than conduct excellent research. They are increasingly called upon to collaborate across disciplines and sectors, engage with communities and knowledge users, communicate complex ideas clearly, and demonstrate the broader impact of their work.

Training program overview

The Volt-Age Cohort Training Program complements traditional graduate training by developing the competencies researchers need to conduct collaborative, rigorous, and impactful research. Through workshops, experiential learning, applied projects, and opportunities to engage with researchers, partners, and knowledge users, trainees develop the skills needed to strengthen their research and prepare for diverse career pathways.

Interactive workshops

Workshops are an integral part of our researcher training program. Volt-Age and GradProSkills offer workshops that combine expert insights with hands-on learning.
