Curation Process Synthesis Report

The Curation Process Synthesis Report was released on December 11, 2024. The Curation Process was designed to gather perspectives and feedback from researchers, administrators and students to help guide the creation of the Impact Call for Proposals. The Curation Process included a total of 16 events engaging approximately 200 individuals, including response collection activities, workshops, webinars, and informal meetups.

Building Relationships with Broad-Based Communities

On October 8, 2024, Christopher Henderson, Chair of the Partnership Committee at Volt-Age, led the webinar Building Relationships with Broad-Based Communities, focusing on Canada’s decarbonization goals. During the event, Henderson emphasized the importance of establishing deep, long-lasting relationships as the foundation for successful decarbonization efforts.

Concordia’s Office of Community Engagement has created a guide for researchers, academics, and students who want to learn how to collaborate effectively with Indigenous Peoples, organizations, and communities. As Volt-Age actively engages with Indigenous communities on various projects, we invite all interested scholars to explore this guide, which offers practical steps for turning ideas into action.

Videos

In May 2024, Volt-Age hosted an event entitled Community Partnerships for Decarbonization, where experts and community leaders shared insights on efforts to electrify and reduce emissions in communities across Canada. The videos highlight clean-energy projects, Indigenous-led initiatives, marine and Arctic renewable solutions and cross-sector collaborations driving community decarbonization.
