Knowledge Mobilization Events Support Program
On this page, you will find all relevant information about the Volt-Age Knowledge Mobilization Events Support Program.
Researchers are now invited to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) outlining their proposed event. This initial step will help inform the development of the program and guide future support offerings.
Overview
As part of its mandate to support research that achieves meaningful, real-world impact, Volt-Age is developing a program to assist its researchers in planning and delivering effective knowledge mobilization events.
Designed specifically for all researchers, the program has a dual purpose: to support the dissemination of research beyond academia and to strengthen event planning and engagement skills within its consortium.
Eligible participants include full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty from Concordia University and partner institutions (Toronto Metropolitan University, University of Calgary, Dalhousie University), as well as part-time faculty actively engaged in research who provide a department support letter specifying appointment end dates. Applications can be submitted by individuals, teams, or research units.
To ensure the program aligns closely with researchers’ needs and interests, its development will begin with a Notice of Intent (NOI) process—a brief form designed to inform program development and resource allocation throughout the duration of Volt-Age’s CFREF funding.
Notice of Intent
The Notice of Intent (NOI) serves as a preliminary Expression of Interest, helping Volt-Age understand researchers’ event ideas and support needs.
All researchers, including those who do not yet have a specific event in mind, are encouraged to participate. This allows Volt-Age to gauge the overall interest in knowledge mobilization activities across the consortium.
The form collects information on:
- Event type, objectives, and expected outcomes
- Intended audience
- Timing and location preferences
- Potential collaborators
- Eligibility and contact details
- Desired support such as event coordination, communications, or funding assistance
Submitting an NOI does not guarantee funding or commit researchers to organizing an event. Instead, it is a vital step for assessing community interest and informing the future direction of the program.
Deadline
Deadline to submit NOI: October 23 2025
