This bilingual event brings together two Quebec City historians, who will unearth compelling stories relating to English-speaking Quebec. Award-winning writer and television personality Jean Provencher will examine French-English relations in Quebec City throughout the nineteenth century. Louisa Blair, author of The Anglos, will take us to the Saguenay to look at the context surrounding a tale of murder among her English-speaking ancestors.

This event is free and open to the general public. RSVP.

The Off the Shelf lecture series, co-organized by QUESCREN, also includes events in Montreal and Sherbrooke. It aims to promote our online bibliography on English-speaking Quebec produced in collaboration with Brendan O'Donnell (new version coming soon).

RSVP.
