Jérôme Nadeau

That innate and ineradicable craving for what is out of the common proves how glad we are to have the natural and tedious course of things interrupted

September 2 – October 19, 2014
Vernissage September 4, 5p.m. to 7p.m.

In sharp contrast to the theatrical space of the main gallery, artist Jérôme Nadeau creates a quiet space for contemplation and experimentation in the gallery’s Black Box.  His installation is titled That innate and ineradicable craving for what is out of the common proves how glad we are to have the natural and tedious course of things interrupted. Visitors are invited to enter the dimly lit room to observe and manipulate a collection of light sensitive photographic papers that change over time as they are stacked, layered and overlapped.

Jérôme Nadeau is an artist, curator and editor based in Montreal. He is currently enrolled in the MFA program at Concordia University in Montreal. His work was shown in solo and group exhibitions in Montreal, Portland, Québec City and Iceland. This fall, he will be pursuing his studies at the Valand Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden.
