Black in Quebec is a research project of the Black Community Resource Centre (BCRC). The project involves in-depth research into the English Speaking Black Community in Quebec to increase knowledge, awareness, and community capacity and vitality.
John Davids is a Project Researcher for the Black in Quebec project being undertaken by the BCRC. He possesses a Political Science background, having graduated from York University with a M.A. in the discipline. He also has experience in International Development and has worked in Africa and Europe.
Xiaoyan Fang is a Research Assistant for this ongoing project. She graduated from McGill University (BA Psychology, First Class Honours and Minor in Mathematics), with a research background in intergroup relations. She has conducted studies on how psychological needs are impacted by people’s socio-cultural identities and intergroup contexts.

« Black in Quebec » [Les Noirs au Québec] est un projet de recherche du Black Community Resource Centre (BCRC). Le projet comprend des recherches approfondies sur la communauté noire d’expression anglaise du Québec afin d'accroître les connaissances, la sensibilisation, ainsi que la capacité et la vitalité communautaire.
John Davids est un chercheur pour le projet « Black in Quebec » entrepris par le BCRC. Il possède une formation en sciences politiques, ayant obtenu une maîtrise dans cette discipline à l’Université York. Il a également une expérience en développement international et a travaillé en Afrique et en Europe.
Xiaoyan Fang est assistante de recherche pour ce projet en cours. Elle est diplômée de l'Université McGill (Baccalaureat avec mention très honorable en psychologie et mineure en mathématiques), avec une formation en recherche sur les relations intergroupes. Elle a mené des études sur la manière dont les besoins psychologiques sont influencés par les identités socioculturelles et les contextes intergroupes.
