This youth oriented event, organized by Mikana, The Quebec Equity Diversity Inclusion Network (RIQÉDI) & the advisory committee, supports Indigenous youth in the deconstruction of colonial concepts around gender plurality, sexual diversity and their relationships with their identities.
Knowledge keepers, Sedalia Kawennotas Fazio (she/her), Anna Aude Cahouette and Iako'tsi:rareh Amanda Lickers (she/they), will share with Indigenous youth the socio-historical context around Two-Spirit identity in order to support our collective learning and unlearning.
The event is open to everyone. To attend in person, register here or join online by watching live on YouTube.
We recognize that participants and attendees come with different levels of culture, knowledge, protocols, etc. and we ask everyone to be respectful of these differences. We strive to create safe spaces where identities are respected (e.g. origin, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, etc.). Any form of violence will not be tolerated.
