Research Committee (SRC)
The School of Health Research Committee (SRC) is a standing committee of the Council of the School of Health.
Description of the committee
The School of Health Research Committee (SRC) is a standing committee of the Council of the School of Health. It has delegated authority from and reporting responsibility to the Council for matters related to research. Specifically, the SRC plays an active role in supporting a robust research strategy across the disciplines represented within the SOH membership.
Role
- Facilitates and advises the Associate Dean, Research and Infrastructure (ADRI) on strategic research directions and business development initiatives of the SOH as mandated by the Office of the Dean.
- Adjudicates SOH internal funding competitions (e.g., research calls, requests for matching funds in support of funding applications, funds affiliated with community health research) and makes recommendations on these to the Office of the Dean.
- Ensures that the Committee is acting in the interests of the SOH strategic goals and within the parameters of the University Strategic Direction plan.
