‘Years of dedication to academic excellence’: 51 Concordians are recognized for their career achievements

The university celebrates faculty and staff who received tenure and promotions in 2019

This year, 51 Concordia faculty and librarians received tenure and/or promotions. Their achievements were celebrated at an event on October 16.

“I congratulate these faculty and librarians on their achievements, which reflect many years of hard work and dedication to academic excellence,” says Graham Carr, interim president and vice-chancellor.

“The 2019 tenure and promotion recipients are contributing to Concordia’s success through their research and creative contributions to their fields, engagement with students and outreach to partners and communities beyond our campuses.”

Anne Whitelaw, interim provost and vice-president, academic, also emphasizes the significance of these milestone accomplishments.

“We are extremely proud of our faculty members. Their contributions make Concordia a major draw for students from Quebec, Canada and around the globe, and continue to increase our reputation as an innovative and exciting university. My deepest congratulations to all.”
