Concordia Research Member (internal)

Full-time, part-time, emeritus faculty member internal to Concordia engaged in research on aging

By invitation or application; 5 year term

Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the centre and may be asked to offer a lecture, workshop, or lead a seminar related to their research or research-creation once per academic semester. Expected to attend AGM and submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Affiliate Research Member (external)

Full-time, part-time, emeritus faculty member external to Concordia engaged in research on aging

By invitation or application; 5 year term

Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the centre and may be asked to offer a lecture, workshop, or lead a seminar related to their research or research-creation once per academic semester. Expected to attend AGM and submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Research Associate

Researchers not affiliated with Concordia or another university; engaged in research on aging; will normally hold a qualification at the Master’s or PhD level

By invitation or application; 5 year term

Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the centre and may be asked to offer a lecture, workshop, or lead a seminar, related to their research once per academic semester. Expected to attend AGM and submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Visiting Scholar

Full-time, part-time, or Emeritus faculty members from another university, including graduate students, post-doctoral fellows

By invitation or application; limited and non-renewable

Participates in a residential role over a sustained period of time. Collaborates with engAGE members on new or existing research projects. Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the centre and may be asked to offer a lecture, workshop, or lead a seminar related to their research once per academic semester.   Expected to submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Artist-in-residence

Artists affiliated with Concordia or at another university engaged in research on aging

By invitation or application;

limited and non-renewable

Participates in a residential role over a sustained period of time.

Collaborates with engAGE members on new or existing research and/or research-creation projects. Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the centre and may be asked to offer a lecture, workshop, or lead a seminar related to their practice once per academic semester. Expected to submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Post-doctoral Fellows

Completed PhDs pursuing post-doctoral research on aging

By invitation or application; 1 year year term, renewable

Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the centre and may be asked to offer a lecture, workshop, or lead a seminar related to their research or research-creation once per academic semester.

Expected to submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Graduate Associate

Graduate students at Concordia or outside of Concordia conducting research related to aging

By invitation or application; 1 year term, renewable

Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the Centre.  May participate or lead a lecture, workshop, or seminar related to their research or research-creation. May be asked to sit on committees (eg. Governing Board). Expected to submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Undergraduate Associate

Undergraduate student at Concordia interested in research on aging

By invitation or application; 1 year term, renewable

Expected to participate in the ongoing activities at the Centre.  Expected to submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Community Associate

Community members, including public officials, volunteers, community leaders, and professionals not affiliated with Concordia whose work is related to aging

By invitation or application; 5 year term

Community associates may be expected to participated to sit on the Centre’s committees or partner on events, connect with faculty and students, and raise the Centre’s profile within the community. Expected to submit summary of activities for Annual Report.

Alumni Student and Staff

Students and staff who received a degree from or who were full-time or part-time staff at Concordia and whose work was related to aging

By invitation or application; 5 year term
