Mandate
The mandate of Research & Restricted Financial Management is to provide financial management and control on behalf of external stakeholders:
- Governmental agencies
- Private industries and donors
as well as an infrastructure to facilitate the management of the funds to our internal stakeholders:
- Researchers
- Financial managers and administrators
Moreover, Research & Restricted Financial Management are to financially manage the University's restricted funds. These funds encompass the following types of activities:
- Research funded by internal and/or external sources
- Other projects for which spending has been internally/externally restricted
- Projects funded by Donations and Endowments
- Capital Budgeting
- Affiliated Entities (I.e. Foundations)
- Agency accounts
