Jean Théberge is a multi-disciplinary film animator interested both in traditional screening of films and cinematographic installations in public spaces and galleries. His work integrates actual and constructed sets with painting, fabricated and found objects, photography and collage. He has participated in several group exhibitions and has presented his short films in numerous international animation and experimental festivals including Tokyo, Zagreb, Windsor, Ottawa, Annecy and Budapest. He has had exhibitions in galleries in both Montreal and Quebec and contributed to Maureen Furniss' book The Animation Bible (Harry N. Abrams, 2008) on the pedagogy of teaching technical aspects of film animation. Théberge has taught MHSoC's Technical Aspects of Film Animation since 1997 and the creative production course Animation II since 1999.
