Sept. 21: The Future of Artificial Intelligence

From education to transportation, artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming everyday life.

To help prepare students and alumni for this emerging technology, Concordia will present a panel of experts to discuss the questions and considerations of letting machines do our thinking for us.

The Future of Artificial Intelligence will be moderated by Jennifer Hollett, BA 97, the award-winning executive director of The Walrus.

She will be joined by Rina Carlini, BSc 93, president and founder of the Optimal Innovation Group, Wahab Hamou Lhadj, professor of Concordia’s Applied AI Institute, and Allan Benchetrit, MBA 91, president and CEO of Algolux.

Hear what these Concordia experts have to share on the potential impacts of AI, including bias and ethics, health care, the future of work, art and entertainment.

Sept. 22: Concordia Shuffle 34

Concordians are once again gearing up for the Shuffle, our annual 6.5-kilometre walkathon from the Sir George Williams Campus to Loyola Campus. Since launching in 1990, the fundraiser has inspired more than $2.7 million for student scholarships, bursaries and services.

Gifts to the Shuffle count towards the Campaign for Concordia, which focuses on transformational projects that help the next generation on their journeys to build a better tomorrow.

Sept. 22: John Molson Alumni Chapter: Homecoming Social

The John Molson Alumni Chapter (JMAC) invites you to catch up with old and new friends at Reggies, Concordia’s campus resto-bar.

This networking event is an opportunity to learn more about what the chapter is all about. If you’re interested in getting involved with JMAC or sharing ideas about future events, come say hi and connect with us at the event.

Homecoming 2023 is also an opportunity for former Concordia athletes to reminisce and create new memories through team reunions of the 1973 Loyola men’s soccer team, along with the 1993 and 1998 football teams.

The 1973 men’s soccer team will be honoured on the field at halftime during the men’s soccer game on September 22.

The 1993 and 1998 Stingers football teams will be featured guests at the Homecoming football game opening ceremony in recognition of their exemplary achievements and their respective 30th and 25th anniversaries.
